NutrientGraph Beta

Nutrition data with a source on every number

One API for generic foods in 5 languages, US branded products by barcode, and recipes. Every food value is copied by code from USDA FoodData Central or the ANSES-CIQUAL table and carries its source record, nutrient id and retrieval date; dish values are calculated from them with the method recorded. Your app or assistant can say where a number came from.

Who it is for

Nutrition and fitness apps

Search foods by name in English, French, German, Italian or Spanish, scan barcodes, and scale values to any portion. A missing value stays empty: it is never filled with zero.

Recipe and meal-planning tools

Calculate dishes from ingredients with cited cooking yields and moisture changes, or keep them raw; every result says which method it used.

AI assistants and agents

An MCP server with the same tools as the REST API. Answers can quote the source record and the dataset version instead of a number from memory.

Coverage

Sources: USDA FoodData Central (Foundation, SR Legacy, Survey/FNDDS, Branded) and ANSES-CIQUAL 2025, all cleared for commercial use. Open Food Facts is not included, because its licence is share-alike. Full coverage and sources.

Food pages

Nutrition facts for 2,000 common foods per 100 g and per portion, with the source of every value, in English, français and Deutsch.

How it is built and checked

Code copies every value from the source files; AI only matches records, sets preparation states and translates names, and each of those judgments is recorded with its method and a confidence. Code checks run on every record before release, and records that fail are held back. How we check accuracy.
