Terms of service BETA

These terms govern your use of the NutrientGraph API, website and data. They are written for business customers.

1. Who we are

NutrientGraph is provided by ZAPPIT AI S.à r.l., 7 Avenue du Swing, L-4367 Belvaux, Luxembourg (RCS Luxembourg B295926, VAT LU36542984) ("we"). Contact: support@nutrientgraph.com.

2. Business customers

The service is offered to businesses and professionals. By creating an account you confirm that you use it for business purposes. If mandatory consumer law nevertheless applies to you, nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.

3. The service

An API (REST and MCP) that returns reference data and calculations, with the source of every value and the dataset version. The service is in beta: features, endpoints and coverage may change, and we will announce breaking changes to the API at least 30 days in advance by email and in the changelog.

4. What the service is not

The food service returns nutrition reference data copied from public food composition tables and calculations made from them. It is not medical, dietary or allergen advice, it is not a substitute for laboratory analysis, and values for branded products are those the brand owner reported to the source. Food labels you publish remain your responsibility under the law that applies to you.

5. Accounts and API keys

One free key per verified email address. Keep keys secret: you are responsible for calls made with your keys. You can rotate or revoke a key at any time on the account page. We may limit, suspend or revoke keys used abusively, used to breach these terms, or that put the service at risk.

6. Plans, quotas and payment

Plans, included units, rate limits and overage prices are shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe. Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT, which is added where applicable (for business customers in other EU countries, the reverse charge applies). Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe; overage is billed in arrears and stops at the plan's hard cap. We will give at least 30 days' notice of price changes, and you may cancel before they apply.

7. Acceptable use

You may use results inside your own products and services and cache them for that purpose. You may not resell or redistribute the data as a substitute for the service (for example, as a bulk copy or a competing database or API), circumvent quotas or rate limits, probe or disrupt the service, or use it for unlawful purposes.

8. Sources and attribution

Every response lists its sources and their licences in meta.sources. Some sources require attribution or forbid changing the meaning of their data; when you publish values from the service, you must respect those source terms.

9. Accuracy

We build and check the data as described on the accuracy page, and we correct errors we find or that you report. We do not promise that the data is complete or free of errors, and you should check values that matter for a decision against the cited primary source.

10. Liability

Proposed, pending review: our total liability under these terms in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or lost data. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under Luxembourg law, such as liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and cancel at any time; a cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. We may terminate the service or an account with 30 days' notice, or at once for a serious breach. See the refund policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; we will email account holders at least 30 days before material changes take effect.

13. Law and courts

Contracts with ZAPPIT AI S.à r.l., including our terms of service, are governed by the law of Luxembourg. For business customers, the courts of Luxembourg City have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you habitually reside, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
